Sinopse:

Hunter x Hunter, publicado pela Shounen Jump, tem como autor, o famoso Togashi Yoshihiro, que é nada mais, nada menos do que o criador de Yu Yu Hakusho e ainda conta a ajuda de sua esposa Naoko Takeuchi, criadora de Sailor Moon.
Ele já teve outros trabalhos publicados, que são menos conhecidos no Brasil como: Seiaku Cupide e Level E, ambos publicados pela Shuueisha.
A história tem como eu protagnostia o garoto Gon, que quer se tornar um grande caçador como seu pai para dedicar a sua vida à caça ao tesouro. Em um certo dia, um sujeito estranho aparece em sua vida e resolve dá-lo um convite para participar dos testes que o fará um caçador. Mas primeiro ele deverá convencer a sua tia a deixa-lo sair de casa.
E isso é só começo! Para se tornar um caçador, ele precisar ser merecedor de um cartão que irá habilita-lo a viajar por todos os países. Este cartão também é um símbolo de força e a principal missão de um caçador é estabelecer o equilíbrio entre entre os seres humanos e a natureza.
Com o passar da história, muitos outros personagens irão aparacer em sua vida para acompanha-lo em sua jornada,como Kurapika e Leorio.
